Welcome to 100 Ways to Die in Space
Hi there bloggies, welcome to a new and fun little feature – 100 ways to die in space. Taking inspiration from a million ways to die in the west I’ll be taking a somewhat tongue in cheek at the many and various ways that space is somewhat unkind to the average human being and it pretty effective at killing them very quickly. Step aboard and see what happens, just don’t come on wearing a red top!
Method 5 – Low Air Pressure
In space there isn’t a lot of air to breathe, in fact there’s none in the space between the planets and even when you get there the air is unbreathable for the most part. To survive in this ever so harsh environment it’s essential that any adventurous space traveller is able to breathe. If they can’t it goes without saying that they won’t last very long. So the spacecraft needs to be airtight as well as the spacesuit.
It’s for this very reason that home furnishing isn’t done in space as drilling holes in walls for curtains or fitting picture hooks can lead to rather tragic results. So interior designers are banned from space travel.

Bearing this in mind there are also idiots out here too, well there always is isn’t there? It’s long been the goal of the intelligent to make something idiot proof, however these natural selection beating morons can never be stopped. For example there are some that believe that there is a breathable atmosphere on Moon and that’s it’s lush and green. It’s been postulated I think a one way mission to see what happens would be both entertaining and would once and for all demonstrate the very real fact there the Moon has no atmosphere.
But I doubt it would happen.
So remember – keep your helmet on tight and if you crack it with a rock, don’t think for a minute that gaffa tape will save you.

Simon’s Sketch Work – 3D Ball
I’ve been trying to hone my sketching skills, having a sketching workbook has helped a lot to give me ideas and methods and techniques… I enjoyed this one, for some reason a bit of a pain getting the circle the right size and position but the shading seems to blend well. I’m glad I’m wearing a white T-shirt, then.
Sounds like a neat idea for a series.
The drawing is pretty well done. I like the facial features (mouth) and expression.
