About

Hi I’m Simon, I’ve lived in the UK all my life and have rarely ventured further. I’m fascinated and disappointed by the world and what I see in equal measure. I’m a thinker, dreamer, artist and writer. My head is in the clouds or on it’s way to Mars or some other place in the Galaxy and that’s where I’m most at home. Thinking up new possibilities, new stories and imagining what it could be like. This blog is just like that, a little random and a lot creative with a dash of science as the seasoning.

What you’ll find in here is a good dose of:

SciFi

Stories

Art

Photography

Science

with a sprinkling of Philosophy

Over the last few years I’ve been rediscovering my creativity, writing stories, creating worlds and only recently re-kindling my artistic side. I’m sharing all of this and someday it may take me somewhere.

Come into this space and see what you might discover.

I hope you enjoy the posts, come by and say hi, have a chat about what I’ve done- I like to hear from you! Also click on the links below and come and find me on social media.

  1. Wonderful blog, Simon! It’s lovely to meet you via Lacey’s Big and Pinky Toes. I’m on a bit of a blogging break and came back, because of her beautiful post on her forgiveness experience. Your comment was magnificent. Thank you for sharing the wisdom… really appreciate it!
    Blessings, Debbie

      1. Sure! I guess I just compared your blog with mine, which is kinda bare by comparison, haha. My blog is like one straight road, while yours is like a landscape with caves, forests, etc. (and outer space!)

      2. Don’t sell yourself short, there’s nothing wrong in simplicity and your site has a beautiful clean look. I love the black profile picture. Only a few days ago I reorganised the whole site as I have recently split it so I can focus Planet Simon more on my creative exploits. But I really appreciate your comments, makes it worthwhile 🙂

      3. Thanks for appreciating! I did intend for my blog to have a minimalist look, so I guess you’re right, hehe. I think it’s great that you continually update your site to focus on what you really want to develop more. Good luck on your next creative exploits!

    1. Hi there, I just found this in my Spam so sorry for not replying. I have had this blog five years this year. Thanks for looking over it – I am pleased with it and I hope you like the stories 🙂

      1. I used to limit how many blogs I followed because of emails, but since I just use the reader now, that’s not a problem 😊 I can follow as many blogs as I want, and that means yours!

      2. My inbox is so out of control, I think I might have hundreds of unread messages. If I used email to follow all the blogs would get lost in that. I only recently started using the reader, so I can’t testify to how much of a solution it really is…

Also, why am I walking home from the library at 11 at night? This is the college life. And I still have a test to take when I get back. And a class at 10am, lol. This is ridiculous…

      1. If you’re a Star Trek fan too, I’ve got a blog for ya. Allaboutstartrek.wordpress.com. It’s a work in progress and atm I’m just trying to get all the pages done, not posting at all, but soon enough I’m gonna turn it into a fan zone. The posts will be everything from comparing Star Trek to other bits of literature, trivia about the episodes, to personal stories and prose/poetry… (I’m planning on eventually buying a new url, but atm I can only afford it for one site and Science at Your Doorstep got first dibs.)

  5. Hello Simon, Thanks for following me and giving me encouragement with it. 🙂 I wanted to ask, where is the first two part of the ‘Titan Mystery’? I’m curious. 😀 😀 😀

    1. That’s a pleasure. I’m happy to help and encourage. If you visit my site and click on short stories and then the Titan mystery, they should be there. You might have to click on a box which says older posts to reveal them. But they are there! ☺☺☺
