Hello there bloggies! I can’t believe it!!! So many things I can’t believe – firstly that it’s only just over a week until Christmas and 2 weeks until the start of the new year. I also can’t believe how cold it’s been this week! Driving to work today it was -8 at times, I mean… really? anyone would think it’s winter!
Saying that it has been very pretty and I’ve taken loads of pictures, and some of them will no doubt be gracing the posts of this blog. I have so many though so I need to sort them. Also and lastly I can’t believe I’ve left it until the middle of the month to get my blog orbit out – the level of busy has been pretty damn high lets say.
The last month has had a bit going on here, as usual not as much as I would like but I think it’s perhaps the new normal eh?
First was a post of a Sketch work I created based on the Top Gun Maverick movie poster… It took a bit of time but I got a lot of good detail in, from the creases on Maverick’s T-Shirt to the reflection contours on his P51 Mustang.
I also got my Blog Battle story out in November with the Space Garden and some rather unusual going on that lead to…. well read it! I didn’t manage it this month, but I’m thinking I would like to get back to fiction and short stories… It’s been a long time.
I’m sorry, it’s me – I can’t help it. I’ve tried to keep the insanity from the door of this corner of the web but I can’t do it any longer. The world in which we live is wonderful, beautiful and terrible thing and yet there’s few – well quite a lot of people actually…
In this series of posts I’m going to look at the human perspective and ask questions like ‘What does it mean to be human?’ or ‘How can I be a better Human?’ with a little sprinkling of ‘How can I be more comfortable as a human?’In this mad world we’ve been enduring especially over the…

My name is Simon I'm an engineer, creator, free thinker and occasionally writer. For far too long I had ideas and nowhere to put them for the world to see, that's why Planet Simon was created.
I'm an experimenter, explorer and fascinated by the world around me and the people in it. My exploration goes further than the known universe and expands out to universe's I've created in my mind and put onto the creative canvas.
I'm not the person I used to be and over time I have evolved and the blog is evolving with me. Whatever this blog is in the future it's a place where all are welcome and ideas can roam free to find their magical place in the universe.

Your art work is fantastic! -8😳 I remember those days and kind of miss it!
Hi Simon!
Here the weather’s been dancing around freezing point back and forth (-4 – +4 C°) Once it’s raining the nex day freezing. Would be nice if those came at once and we could have some snow on the ground. But soon it will be Yule and the days will get longer, thank God!
Simon- those winter photos are exquisite! I am looking forward to seeing more of them 🙂
Time is flying by here on Vancouver Island as well and we have had some beautiful snowfalls- I have so many draft posts that I want to get published but life has been SO busy. Looking forward to a bit of time off over the holidays!
Laura – thank you so much I’ll do my best to get them posted over the next few days, there’s a lot of them though!
I imagine in Vancouver Island you’ve got more snow than us that will last longer. This snow is likely to be gone early next week.
I’ll look forward to your posts, I hope you get some you time soon 🙂

Having to drive in snow is the WORST. Snow does make for some truly awesome seasonal pics though. 🙂
