Hello there bloggies! It’s me, Simon – if you can remember me!
I wasn’t about much last month and I’ve not got much to tell you but I do have a couple of things… Most of what the last month about focused on a few little things as far as I can see:
1) The end of the life as we know it from a new idiot leader.
2) The end of life as we know it from extreme heat.
3) The end of life as we know it from the massive cost of living hike.
Really… nothing major. In all honesty though the last 2 and a half years have been really hard on all of us and these things keep coming to us to kick us and it can be hard to handle. Just make sure you lok after yourselves. If you need to talk with someone, get things off your chest as I know that I’m finding I struggle with it all at times.
One of the most peaceful things I do is looking at the stars and a few weeks back I got out the telescope and pointed it out to the stars as I realised that Saturn and Jupiter were finally on show to see. I took some pictures and wrote a post on it:
Astro Pics – 2 Planets and a Cluster

Not taking my eyes off the stars I’ve also managed to take a couple more pictures of the milky way, while I’ve done a fairly ok job – the post details that I still can do better.
Let me know what you think
A Galaxy ofย Stars

My series of posts sharing the story of our understanding of the universe has finished and I know I put them up a couple of months back but I’m going to keep putting them up – especially as this is agian a bit of a quiet month! This has gone all the way from Aristotle to Einstein and covered thousands of years. I’ve listed the posts below… have a look!

I find a lot of comfort looking at the stars as well. They help me put all my worries and troubles in perspective; at the same time, they remind me that our world is very rare and very precious, and we need to do a better job taking care of it.

Hi Simon.
The End of Life As We Know It:
Cause- A little researched but very contagious disease….. Terminal Stupidity. Symptoms- Thinking Loud Reactionary Folk have the answers. Denial of Reality.
In the meantime, keep on sending us those powerful and captivating images of the rest of the Universe and giving us the precious gift of Perspective.
