Makes sense to me. If I’m having a good time, pausing to take a photo kind of detracts from the experience for me. I’d rather just keep doing whatever I’m doing and enjoy the experience. And I’m sure, on some level, that makes the experience more memorable for me too.

I think it is the same with making lists instead of practicing to remember things. When you took that photo you don’t need to make the effort to remember since it is saved.
