Fact, snippets of useless information and all of that kind of thing makes up most of what’s in my brain – so I thought I would infect the general interweb with al of this and see what fact I can trawl for you!
Enjoy!
Did you know…
Over 1300 Earth’s could fit inside Jupiter – I mean… I can’t even imagine that?!?!
In this series of posts I’m going to look at the human perspective and ask questions like ‘What does it mean to be human?’ or ‘How can I be a better Human?’ with a little sprinkling of ‘How can I be more comfortable as a human?’In this mad world we’ve been enduring especially over theâŚ
I’m sorry, it’s me – I can’t help it. I’ve tried to keep the insanity from the door of this corner of the web but I can’t do it any longer. The world in which we live is wonderful, beautiful and terrible thing and yet there’s few – well quite a lot of people actuallyâŚ

My name is Simon I'm an engineer, creator, free thinker and occasionally writer. For far too long I had ideas and nowhere to put them for the world to see, that's why Planet Simon was created.
I'm an experimenter, explorer and fascinated by the world around me and the people in it. My exploration goes further than the known universe and expands out to universe's I've created in my mind and put onto the creative canvas.
I'm not the person I used to be and over time I have evolved and the blog is evolving with me. Whatever this blog is in the future it's a place where all are welcome and ideas can roam free to find their magical place in the universe.

I find that useless facts stick in my head too (and I forget things I should remember!). I’m reading a book about the sun at the moment so it is facts galore đ
I have a couple questions for you to ponder. I haven’t been able to dig up any information on either. So here goes.
1) If scientists say the universe is still expanding – i.e. everything is moving outward, how do the constellations stay as we see them year after year? Shouldn’t they have disappeared years ago? Will they in the future?
2) This one really intrigues me…how does the Earth, and the rest of the planets for that matter, maintain their orbital speed? Is it due to the interplay of all the gravitational fields in our solar system? Or is the south pole really a big gas outlet that keeps us moving?

That sounds like a cool book to read!

Nothing like studying the size of objects and distances on the cosmological scale to put us in our place.

Yup, we are a bit tiny

And so we are. Something everyone should bear in mind.

How did people on earth figure out this kind of information though? Like how do they know Saturnâs density is less than water? đ¤

I think density would be harder to work out. I’ll have to look that up. But once your have the size of an object you can tell the volume write easily.

Jupiter is our ruling planet. With this planet also comes luck. My useless information contribution đ

“Our” ruling planet as in Sagittarius đ¤Łđ¤Ł for clarification.

Ah is it? I didn’t know that. What does it do for us?

Oh you would like for me to expand? OK, let me think. I’ll get back with some useful, useless knowledge đ

Inquisitive minds wonder…

The universe is flying apart clumped up in galaxies, the stars move together at a similar rate so they appear in the same place relative to us.
Orbital speed is maintained by gravity a d there’s nothing much to stop us in the vacuum of space.
