Blog Orbit – Blog Date February 2021

Hello there bloggies! I know we’re already 9 days into February but I thought I would post this anyways – as usual there’s so much going on and yet at the same time not. I’ve barely left the house in weeks and I have to admit it’s got a bit on tough side these last few days – especially as we’re now up to our big toe in snow!

With all this and the mind mushing that comes with it I’ve been struggling for ideas on what to do on here… but after a bit of a brainstorm and all that I’ve come up with some ideas – if it only took a few minutes to do this it would be great but alas I’ve got some work to put in to put in some new content – so keep your eyes out some new stuff will be landing pretty soon. But until then there’s the 100 ways to die in Space that’s ongoing as well as the odd bit of art thrown in randomly… Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Just as a little warm up for you – I’ve been playing about a bit with my homepage – I’ve added a portfolio section with pages off of this that give the unwary web surfer a little glimpse into what I’m doing with some stuff that isn’t even on the blog… With new content coming there will be more to add to this soon I’m hoping but if you fancy a browse go and have a look!

January was a pretty cold and dark month here and that showed up pretty starkly this year. But I’ve noted the light starting to creep back into evenings and morning so the warmer weather is on it’s way! I hope you’re all ok and if anyone is struggling then I hope you can find something to get you through… If anyone does need a chat then please don’t hesitate to say hi.

This month there hasn’t been a lot on… but there were a few little things. First there were 2 lots of this…:

Here and here:

100 Ways to Die in Space – # 11 Getting left behind

100 Ways to Die in Space – # 12 Spacecraft Failure

Then I randomly decided to create some digital art and this is something I must have more of a go at becasue this worked really well and I was pleased with it.

Space Art – Saturn and the Distant Sun

So I’ve basically re- created one of my favourite shots taken from Cassini of Saturn and added a bit of artistic licence… I’ve got plans for more like this.

Whatever you’re all doing out there wherever you are, keep safe and look after yourselves and those around you. Let me know what you have been up to.

I hope you all out there keep safe and keep writing and smiling!

A Lens to the Sky

I love skylines, so often a lens doesn’t do them justice but sometimes a wide lens and a moody sky can make a beautiful picture. I wish I could mount some of these at times…Enjoy the views!

Thinking about it makes it Hurt – The Tax System

I’m sorry, it’s me – I can’t help it. I’ve tried to keep the insanity from the door of this corner of the web but I can’t do it any longer. The world in which we live is wonderful, beautiful and terrible thing and yet there’s few – well quite a lot of people actually…

A Flavour of Spring

I can’t talk obviously about the rest of the world, but here in the UK Spring has been a bit of a washout but there have been a few times where the Sun and been able to shine onto the beauty of the Spring and I’ve been able to capture a flavour of it.I hope…

  1. lockdown is essentially over for us … been out and about, doing classes, running one, bus trips and sunny to hot days! Don’t post too much as I think it might make others green with envy but life is good here 🙂
