Hi there bloggies, here were are on the last straight zooming towards the final hurdle of 2020 – we are in December. How has this actually happened? I can imagine for some of you this year has been a slow and plodding affair but for me I’m still in March.
I hope you’re all keeping well and healthy, it’s great that you’re all looking forward to Christmas and the new year. I’m a little concerned though in a way, It seems that many in leadership over here are seem to think that the world will suddenly return to normal on January the 1st 2021. I have a slightly more conservative view in my mind by I certainly don’t think that normality will return anytime soon and as usual they’re being idiots. Personally while I would like the C word gone I think we could definitely benefit from the world NOT returning to the shit show it was before… But that’s another story.
Because of Nanowrimo there wasn’t much from me last month, certainly not as much as I hoped. I was thinking I could get ahead of the game and schedule some posts in – alas I failed there. But there were a few things posted: 100 Ways to Die in Space – # 8 Asteroid Impact
The next part of the macabre episodes dealt with the impact (see the pun there) of flying space debris.
Later in the month after being on a hiatus for much of the month I thought I would let you all know how my Nano project was doing: Where I’ve been, Nanowrimo and Writing
So all in all without even being here it’s been a busy month…
There should be more to come over the next few weeks, but there’s still a story to finish and now I have 2 books to edit – not just one. That’s what I was going to do this year. Oh well.
Whatever you’re all doing out there wherever you are, keep safe and look after yourselves and those around you. What have you been up to?
I hope you all out there keep safe and keep writing and smiling!
I’m sorry, it’s me – I can’t help it. I’ve tried to keep the insanity from the door of this corner of the web but I can’t do it any longer. The world in which we live is wonderful, beautiful and terrible thing and yet there’s few – well quite a lot of people actually…
In this series of posts I’m going to look at the human perspective and ask questions like ‘What does it mean to be human?’ or ‘How can I be a better Human?’ with a little sprinkling of ‘How can I be more comfortable as a human?’In this mad world we’ve been enduring especially over the…

My name is Simon I'm an engineer, creator, free thinker and occasionally writer. For far too long I had ideas and nowhere to put them for the world to see, that's why Planet Simon was created.
I'm an experimenter, explorer and fascinated by the world around me and the people in it. My exploration goes further than the known universe and expands out to universe's I've created in my mind and put onto the creative canvas.
I'm not the person I used to be and over time I have evolved and the blog is evolving with me. Whatever this blog is in the future it's a place where all are welcome and ideas can roam free to find their magical place in the universe.

you have been busy .. did you win, or does that banner mean you finished?
Two books to edit will keep you out of mischief, are you planning to self-publish? How exciting
You’ve been a busy bee Si. I’ve kinda been in limbo mode with my writing lately, maybe it’s everything catching up with me, but can’t complain too much. As for 2020, yep, It’s flown hasn’t it. A crazy whirlwind of a year. Take it easy. 😊
