Hello there bloggies it’s the 18th day of NaNoWriMo and as you can tell I’ve still not been able to be around much as I’ve been getting on with the task in hand of getting 50,000 words done by the end of the month.
I’m finding this is the tough part now actually. Things have flowed and they can still flow but now I’m finding I’m missing bits of story and at the end I’m running out of story so I need to mess about a bit and I’ve been falling a little behind but it’s quite recoverable. I hope.
Here’s where I am… just over 28,000 words. So it’s progressing, I intend to keep it up, 1600 words a day and make it to at least 50k, this will almost certainly not be the final book and there will be messing and fettling for a while and hopefully get the final manuscript to 70k

That’s what I thought until I signed up at the end of October, I think we find strenghts we didn’t know we had when we jump into something and see what we can do.
Why don’t you try it next year?

Yes, I remember having the same issue last year at the same time. That’s why I figured I would plot A LITTLE next time I try NaNo. I think I took a day off last November and just plotted. It helped with the remaining days.

I can see why that would help, I went into this with just the plot in my head, I think next time I will plot and that should make things a bit easier. Or I might just panster again lol

That’s why some people spend the month before planning and the 10 months after editing…
Just keep writing.
