Word prompt stories – I’m going to try and look for a word prompt daily (haha don’t laugh) and see if I can create something short and sweet to write around it. As it’s me I’ll probably try and put a science fiction spin on it. Let’s see if this works.
Also this is for all you reading it, this is a challenge for you as well, can you come up with something based in the chosen word? If you can create something short of around 50 – 200 words (but no limit really) , it can be a story, poem, thought or whatever and link back to this post.
Go for it!
Reality
The reality of where they stood suddenly came to her in a blinding flash. All the stories they had heard and been told seemed to be true aginst all the odds.
The ancient carvings telling the story of the great pyramid that came from the sky were all true. They were standing on it and it was like nothing else they had ever seen or concieved in their wildest imagination.
I’m sorry, it’s me – I can’t help it. I’ve tried to keep the insanity from the door of this corner of the web but I can’t do it any longer. The world in which we live is wonderful, beautiful and terrible thing and yet there’s few – well quite a lot of people actually…
In this series of posts I’m going to look at the human perspective and ask questions like ‘What does it mean to be human?’ or ‘How can I be a better Human?’ with a little sprinkling of ‘How can I be more comfortable as a human?’In this mad world we’ve been enduring especially over the…

My name is Simon I'm an engineer, creator, free thinker and occasionally writer. For far too long I had ideas and nowhere to put them for the world to see, that's why Planet Simon was created.
I'm an experimenter, explorer and fascinated by the world around me and the people in it. My exploration goes further than the known universe and expands out to universe's I've created in my mind and put onto the creative canvas.
I'm not the person I used to be and over time I have evolved and the blog is evolving with me. Whatever this blog is in the future it's a place where all are welcome and ideas can roam free to find their magical place in the universe.

AND I’M BACK.
Cool story- is this about the Giza pyramids being built by aliens?
Here’s another spin…
He had never quite understood the infinite possibilities the machine could bring to his fingertips.
He was viewing the universe- not just one, but several millions, like layers of paint splashed carelessly upon a canvas. Here, with the machine his deceased sister had created, he was the most powerful being to exist.
He could control time- unravel it’s delicate threads at his will, speed it up by simply swiping his fingers across a screen.
He could control space- open up wormholes and tear through the borders of each dimension he wished to, slicing through multiverses as though they were butter.
He could control energy- the man could feel it throbbing in the nooks and crannies and folds of every dimension, just waiting to be harvested.
Oh, it was all too easy.
If only his sister could be there to see it.
The man laughed as his fingers flew over the buttons.
Reality?
He was about to rip this one apart.
🙂

Maybe that is why we cannot work some things out – we simply aren’t ready for them.
