A – Z Challenge – Sci-Fi Films O is for Oblivion

Hi there bloggies, I’ve been seeing some post warning me of an A – Z Challenge and I was curious. I’ve seen this around before but have never participated, for some mad reason I thought I would give it a go.

So here I am.

My theme is the A-Z of Scifi moves, I’ve not given this a great deal of thought and I know of a number but I won’t lie there’s some I will struggle with. I hope you enjoy them!

O is for Oblivion

Oblivion – set in a post war Earth where an alien race has destroyed Moon, devastated the Earth for its resources. The human race has re-located to Titan and Tech 49 Jack Harper works on keeping the drones that are protecting the fusion reactors that are turning the sea into energy. The drones are constantly under attack from the aliens now roaming the Earth.

Jack has dreams though, dreams of another life, a woman who’s face he can remember but not a name.

What does it all mean? The truth is pretty incredible and nothing is as it seems.

I really loved this film, it’s actually quite a beautiful film. The music created for it fits the story really well. This is one of those films were as you’re going along you’re thinking “What the actual fuck just happened there and why?”

Any of you bloggies seen it? What did you think?

With O done that means P is next… what to choose here…

  1. I haven’t seen this one yet. I recorded it once, settled down to watch it, only to find my machine had lost interest in recording halfway through.
    Must try again.
