Hi there bloggies, I’ve been seeing some post warning me of an A – Z Challenge and I was curious. I’ve seen this around before but have never participated, for some mad reason I thought I would give it a go.
So here I am.
My theme is the A-Z of Scifi moves, I’ve not given this a great deal of thought and I know of a number but I won’t lie there’s some I will struggle with. I hope you enjoy them!

G is for Guardians of the Galaxy (Vol I & II
When Peter Quill steals a mysterious orb, Gamora is sent to find him and get the Orb by Ronan, a real powerful bad ass dude working for Thanos. While Peter trys to sell the orb two other bounty hunters Rocket and Groot try and ambush him and all of them are captured by Nova Corps Officers and find themselves in a prison. Teaming up with Drax, another inmate forms the this ragtag group into what ends up being the Guardians of the Galaxy.
They soon find out the the orb contains an infinity stone and the powerful Ronan is after them, killing any in his path. The Gurdians have the keep the infinity stone out of the hands of Ronan and Quills…carer Yondu.
Volume II is yet more fun with space hunts, battles and Peter finding out his father is a god (god with a small g).Things get complicated needless to say and a whole lot of fun goes on. Special note – hilarious bit is Rocket trying to teach baby Groot which button to press on the bomb.

These are great, good honest space fun, not really for children as there is some language and in a way it makes this better as there’s more realism to this. With everyone trying to outdo each other and get one up it’s not only a great Sci-Fi adventure but great fun too!
That makes for letter G – H should follow tomorrow!

Science in Sci-Fi – Time Travel
Science fiction is as the name suggests the fiction of science. I thought it would be a fun, interesting and at times mind bending idea too look at the science behind some of the technology in science fiction and look under the hood to see what’s required to make it work or what barriers areContinue reading “Science in Sci-Fi – Time Travel”

Time, Space and the Universe as we know it – Part 2 Relative Motion
With all it’s vastness and complexity it’s taken a long time for humans to reach the understanding that we have of the universe that we have. This is the story of evolving understanding and how simplicity gives way to incredible truth’s that seems to sit at odds with how we think life should be… andContinue reading “Time, Space and the Universe as we know it – Part 2 Relative Motion”

They managed to translate the sometimes fun and irreverence out of the comics and managed to get the characters just right.

I have a bit of of a love – hate relationship with GotG. The jokes were just a bit too corny here and there. The CGI is awesome though and I will definitely not miss any sequel tha follow.
