Hi there bloggies!
Another week begins and another blog obit comes around again., there’s not long to go until the end of the year. I know that you don’t really want to hear this, I don’t either but you know these are the facts. What could the new year bring? What new goals could there be and new challenges?
It’s hard to say.
Anyways, this last week just gone was pretty good, I rolled out some o the stops and brought you a guest post from my friend Ari on why other writers are friends and not competition.
WHY OTHER WRITERS ARE YOUR FRIENDS…AND NOT YOUR COMPETITION

There was also some more on how I’ve been able to use Gimp to create a ringed planet:

In addition to this as it was Halloween on Wednesday I brought you the fourth story on a ghost called Bob. for those of you new to my blog I try and write a story every Halloween on a ghost that comes out once a year to cause a little mischief.
Halloween – The Ghost Called Bob #4
Also watch out for the story seed that Laura and I have been working on, a little experiment to put a story out there and see what other bloggies do with it. If you get tagged with it, do what feels right to you, but make sure you read and support it please!
As I said last week, after throwing the idea of doing something with the Planet Simon brand and the idea of t-shirts, I’ve had a think about what else I could do and I have a few ideas. There’s nothing in this that going to make me a fortune, it’s really some fun but if any of you actually read this let me know about what sticks in your mind about Planet Simon and soon I’ll give you an idea of what I’m thinking.
Stick around and keep popping in. I’ll be about as much as I can. Still trying to work things out. See you about.
Keep writing and blogging…

Not to bad thanks.
Had a minor ‘procedure’ Sunday before last, documented in my last post (don’t like repeating the details-not the British way-dontcha y’know).
Anyway the after effect of the General Anaesthetic really helped getting me through a slight block on Book II (aka Skirmishers of Steel, Fire and Lace).
So it’s all good

Ooooh, that ringed planet looks great! I’ll be off to check that out now… Hope there’s another great week ahead for you, Simon! Oh, and if you’re looking for merch ideas, how about things for your techier readers? Mouse mats (assuming people still use mouse mats!), coffee mugs and coasters perhaps?

Let me know what you think of the ringed planet tutorial. Thanks I hope the week ahead is great for you too, I’ve been thinking about this merch thing and mouse mats came up in my head but I’m trying to think of stuff a little more… different as well. I have some ideas

It’s really good! It uses things that I’ve sometimes glanced at and thought “weird, what does THAT do?” Now I know! I’ll have to go back and try some of them out in January. And I bet you have squillions of merch ideas! 😊
