I woke up this morning to a blog award nomination from MacKenzie. You really should go and have a look at her blog, she has a pretty long list of conditions she’s been diagnosed with but she refuses to let this get in the way and has some pretty inspiring posts so go and pay her a visit please as she’s great!

Here are my answers from MacKenzie!

  • What’s your biggest goal for 2018?

To do what I do and have fun doing it.

  • What’s your favorite holiday?

A quiet one near the great outdoors.

  • If a genie gave you 3 wishes, what would they be?

I thought about this and it drove me nuts. I would either have to be selfish or not and if I wanted to help others I couldn’t help everyone. So I gave up.

  • If you could go anywhere on vacation where would you go?

The Lake District

  • If you could only have one type of sandwich the rest of your life what kind would it be?

Cheese and pickle! 😛

Three things about me are:

I always struggle to think of something new to put into these, but I’ll have a good go:

  1. I try to make sure I go for a walk everyday – I can’t stand sitting around.
  2. When I was at school I was really crap at Maths – so I went into engineering as a career. Nuts eh?
  3. I’ve recently been using step / sleep tracking in my everyday life. It’s funny the effect this has on you as I now try and take the long route when walking to get a few extra steps in.

My nominees:

Some questions I have for my nominees:

  1. What’s do you hope to better yourself in this year?
  2. What was your favourite Christmas yummy?
  3. What in the world now worries you most or would you like to see change?
  4. What’s your favourite biscuit?
  5. What is on Netflix right now that you can’t help watching?

I hope you can all join in – if not don’t worry but you it would be interesting!

Simon 🙂

  1. Thanks for the nomination! Unfortunately I think I’m going to have to pass this time, but if it’s okay with you I’ll go ahead and answer your questions here:

    1. I need to learn to manage my time better. 2017 went poorly in large part because I felt like I was being pulled in too many directions at once.

    2. Sparkling cider. I know it’s not really a Christmas thing, but for whatever reason I only end up drinking it at Christmas or New Years parties.

    3. I’m probably most worried about climate change, but I feel like the world is starting to make some real progress on that issue. The cost of solar and wind energy is dropping, and green energy may soon become cheaper than oil and gas. So overall, I’m pretty optimistic about the future.

    4. As I recall, a biscuit in British English is what we Americans call a cookie, so I’ll go with white chocolate chip with macadamia nut cookies.

    5. I don’t have Netflix, and it’s actually been quite some time since I really sat down to watch anything.

  2. Hi Si! I cannot believe you didn’t list your three Genie wishes! Cheese & Pickle sandwich….seriously? Ick. Yuck. This looks like fun for sure. I hope to participate in the next few days. Thanks for including me XO

  3. Thanks for including me. Also, I never thought about the genie question that way, to help others. I always imagined selfish answers, which is weird because I’m not really selfish!
