Great interview! I agree with your approach to getting more traffic to your blog… I had to do SEO as part of a job I had a few years ago, and as far as I could tell no-one understood it (because no-one could explain exactly what I was supposed to be doing) and the rules, such as they were, changed constantly! Better to write what you want, your way, and let your people find you 😀
It was a while ago, so everything has probably changed completely! I had to add meta data to each page of a website… Essentially, putting words related to the content of the page into a section that doesn’t display on the site but that allows search engines to find the page more easily. Well, in theory anyway… And as far as I remember, that’s only one of the SEO hoops you need to jump through! If you manage to figure it out, let me know 😆
