I love these kinds of details – it makes you realise how small we all are and the problems that surround us.

My name is Simon I'm an engineer, creator, free thinker and occasionally writer. For far too long I had ideas and nowhere to put them for the world to see, that's why Planet Simon was created.
I'm an experimenter, explorer and fascinated by the world around me and the people in it. My exploration goes further than the known universe and expands out to universe's I've created in my mind and put onto the creative canvas.
I'm not the person I used to be and over time I have evolved and the blog is evolving with me. Whatever this blog is in the future it's a place where all are welcome and ideas can roam free to find their magical place in the universe.

I always find it great to think that I am a small speck on a small speck in a corner of the middle of nowhere, in the grand scheme of things.. that makes my problems seem very small and insignificant. I like that. At the same time, I sort of find space a bit scary, all that darkness and emptiness. But I do wish to see great space discoveries in my lifetime. Thanks for sharing this. 🙂

This is all true and to me what we can get from space is that money is nothing, wealth is so temporary and we should be able to give everyone on this earth a life worth living. The most amazing things we have are what we create, how we affect others lives in a good way the thoughts we create. That should be human life… so why isn’t it?

Simon, I am in full agreement. In the grand scheme of things, I do feel like a tiny little bug. I love the Astronomy photographs, and this type of science is amazing. I wish you a wonderful day, and do continue putting stars in my eyes. The universe is amazing.

Well, you are an excellent writer and extremely interesting. 🙂 When I was a kid, my parents’ pet name for me was Star Eyes. What a nice memory Simon, thank you for that.

We are really small. Yet we have such interesting lives. And our world is even smaller than it once felt because now I am in NYC and my BFF Simon lives in England and our friendship is only possible because of all this wonderful technology that we little specks have at our fingertips.

This is very true, I’m sure as we advance we will start making the universe smaller too.
You have BFF called Simon? It must be a common name over here! 😃

Thanks for the link and yeah, I have to agree with a lot of what you said. It was a bit far fetched in places but I still enjoyed it.
