This week NASA has some news on what’s going on in the solar system. Rosetta’s Philae lander will stop transmitting this week. It’s adventure is now over – goodbye Philae, you did well!

There more with huge solar flares and huge discoveries on Mars that throw doubt on the theory of it’s canyon’s being carved by water. Read it all in the link.

    1. Rosetta is on Comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko. It’s going to be on there a little while now, like a few million years. It just won’t be working… we do leave our rubbish laying around! lol

  1. Mars?
Oh great! And here was me this week waxing lyrical to my wife about great rushes of water carving canyons on Mars’ surface…(Stupid Scientific Progress!)

Amazing news about Jupiter. The notion of thunderclaps being so loud (and vast I guess) that they generate heat!.

As always Simon thanks for keeping us updated
